Competition for 23 vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court and its Appeals Chamber

Please be informed, that on June 03, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine announced a competition for 23 vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court, including:

  • 10 positions of judges in the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court;
  • 13 positions of other judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The deadline for submitting documents is from July 07 to August 06, 2025 (inclusive).

Specifics of the competition:

  • for the first time, a candidate will be able to apply simultaneously to the High Anti-Corruption Court as a court of first instance and to its Appeals Chamber;
  • single qualification exam and interview;
  • single rating of the competition participants, according to which the candidates who take the highest positions in the rating will be recommended for the position of a judge of the Appeals Chamber;
  • the number of vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court as a court of first instance may be increased in case the winning candidate is a current judge of the HACC as a court of first instance, who will be recommended for appointment to the position of a judge of the Appeals Chamber.

The competition will be held according to new rules, which, in particular:

cancelled the 75 per cent passing score in the test on the history of Ukrainian statehood. This score will be determined by the Commission independently, similarly to the passing score for cognitive skills testing;

the second interview with the winners of the competition after the qualification evaluation has been cancelled. The interview with the candidate will be conducted exclusively during the qualification evaluation;

candidates who participated in the competition announced in 2023 for vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court and its Appeals Chamber have the opportunity to participate in the next such competition during martial law and within one year from the date of its termination.
