Please be informed, that on March 19, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine adopted a decision approving the decoded results of the practical assignment performed by the candidates in the competition held on February 26 and 27, 2025. The decision also includes the determination of the overall results of the first stage of the qualification evaluation, “Qualification Exam”, and the admission of candidates to the second stage, “Dossier Study and Interview”, within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision No. 94/zp-23 of September 14, 2023 (as amended) for filling vacant judicial positions in appeal commercial courts.

A total of 83 candidates for the position of judge in the appeal commercial courts who successfully passed the qualification exam have been admitted to the second stage of the qualification evaluation, “Dossier Study and Interview”, within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision No. 94/zp-23 of September 14, 2023 (as amended). The Commission will conduct interviews based on the dossier study results during the second and third quarters of 2025 as part of the qualification evaluation of candidates for judicial positions in appeal commercial courts.
The order of interviews will be determined considering the scores obtained by candidates in the qualification exam, arranged from lowest to highest, while ensuring an equal distribution of workload among the Commission members responsible for reviewing and reporting the cases.
Please draw the attention to the fact that, for the purpose of conducting a special background check, candidates for the position of judge in the appeal commercial courts must submit the following documents to the Commission no later than March 26, 2025 (inclusive):
- a written consent for the special background check, in the form specified in Annex 1 to the Procedure for Conducting Special Background Checks on Persons Applying for Positions of High Responsibility or Positions with Increased Corruption Risk, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 171 of March 25, 2015 (as amended).
- an autobiography as of the date of consent to the special background check, created in electronic format, printed, personally signed, and containing, among other information: full name, date and place of birth, citizenship (including foreign citizenship, if applicable), documents granting the candidate permanent residence rights in foreign countries (if any), submission of documents for obtaining foreign citizenship (if applicable); education (name of the higher education institution, year of admission and graduation, diploma details, obtained educational qualification level, degree, specialty, academic qualification); access to state secrets, including any revocations due to violations of state secrecy laws; military service status (conscript, reservist, military service experience, if applicable); last place of employment and position.
- a certificate of completion of pre-employment, periodic, and extraordinary psychiatric examinations in the form of primary medical documentation No. 100-2/о.
- a certificate confirming access to state secrets (if applicable), prepared in accordance with the legislation on state secrets.
- a declaration (in Ukrainian) provided under Article 6, Part One of the Law of Ukraine “On Purification of Power”.
- a copy of the asset declaration for persons authorized to perform state or local self-government functions for the year 2024.
